Edgar Moreno is a Co-Founder of Pathways, and his journey is marked by a relentless pursuit of making a positive impact. He earned a BA in Government and a Distinction in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. As a teenager, Edgar initiated programs like Mock Trial, helping educate peers on law and communication. He championed legislative efforts alongside SkillsUSA and increased funding for Career and Technical Education classes at 16. As a public speaker and Founder of the Distinguished Speakers Association, Edgar coached students at his university on their communication skills. He led the Latino Student Union and created a supportive space for Latino students to build their community and voice. Edgar believes that being a leader requires more than confidence and persistence; it requires knowledge and comfort to be an adaptable leader. Using his leadership and communication experience, he aims to create pathways for future leaders to carry the torch.
Micah Fischer is a cofounder of Pathways, currently serving as the organization's Marketing and Digital Media Director. In high school, Micah enrolled in trade school to learn web development and served as an FBLA and SkillsUSA Chapter President, winning FBLA Arizona's 2019 State Conference for website design. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Micah enrolled at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. In just three years, Micah graduated from Grand Canyon University debt-free by earning academic scholarships, interning for local startups, and serving in student government. Following his graduation, Micah relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, and took a role at a software company, navigating life as a young professional. Micah draws on his experience balancing academic, professional, and personal responsibilities throughout high school, trade school, college, and early career when building resources for Pathways and hopes the platform can provide students and young adults with much-needed clarity.
